The exhibition "The MCCA Collection Revisited" is an ongoing project conceived and developed by Isabelle Uyaralaaq Avingaq Choquette of the Avataq Cultural Institute during her fellowship. Through her research and curatorial work, Choquette approaches the collection with fresh eyes, foregrounding new narratives, relationships and cultural contexts that invite visitors to look at familiar works in new ways. At the heart of the project is the dialog - between past and present, artworks and audiences, institutional collections and living knowledge systems. In guided tours and informal talks, the curator provides insights into her working process, the questions that shape her approach and the perspectives that influence her interpretation of the collection. Throughout May, the exhibition space will also serve as a platform for exchange. Visitors are invited to take part in conversations, encounters and networking opportunities designed to encourage engagement with the works on display, stimulate reflection and strengthen social engagement.
